“It is not a debut album but is an opener for the people on Landleezy.” Queen’s rapper Landleezy is prepping the release for his newest project, “Believe in the Lord.” As he made sure to state, the upcoming project will not be his debut album but rather something to get fans warmed up for what he has coming down the road. In advance of the project, which Landleezy said is set for release this spring, he has shared the video for his single “Believe.”

2020 was a long year for the rapper from the Shadyville neighborhood of Queens. After the loss of his mother, father, and paternal grandmother, Landleezy was grieving. However, he knew he still had to be a father to his two daughters. Landleezy took those feelings of loss and grief and poured them into his music. The result: “Believe.”

The song’s music video pays homage to the family Landleezy has lost over the last year, and the song itself is a pick-me-up to anyone struggling. “Believe” is just a sliver of what Landleezy has in store with his upcoming project. “This project is just a reflection of what I have gone through in the past year or so. Dealing with losses along with the struggles and the lifestyle I live on a daily basis will be displayed through my music,” the Shadyville rapper shares.
