Los Angeles Lakers new tv series Winning Time "The Rise of The Lakers". The show details the times of the 1980's Showtime Lakers. In one episode it showed when Magic Johnson fresh out of college chose Converse over a new startup company called Nike. Odell Beckham Jr $750,000 Rams contract only worth $35,000 after Bitcoin drop POSTED ON Jan 24, 2022
Odell Beckham Jr. may have came up big on the football field this past weekend when his team beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in playoff game. Sadly off the field his pay check the Rams is taking a big hit. Odell Beckham Jr when he signed with the Rams decided to convert his pay from dollars to bitcoin. The news was reportedly by Darren Rovell, who pointed out details in OBJ’s situation. Via Twitter, Rovell said “At the time, [of OBJ signing his contract] Bitcoin was worth $64,293. Today it is worth $35,400.” From there, Rovell broke down how much the deal is worth, saying Beckham’s deal is only worth $412,913 at the moment. Rovell continued saying “Odell will be taxed on $750,000. Federal & CA state tax will be 50.3%. That means Odell, as of now has netted $35,703.” Beckham still may be able to get the full worth of his contract, as the volatility of the coin finds the price moving in either direction regularly. NBA MVP Nikola Jokic got into a heated exchange with Miami Heat player Markieff Morris during their last game which resulted in a almost brawl to take place during the game. Things got so crazy that Jimmy Butler and teammates waited for Jokic outside his teams locker room. One wildcard in this situation is that Jokic 2 older brothers are professional MMA fighters and are ready to defend their baby brother. Via social media the Jokic brothers created a twitter account just to reach out to the Morris brothers and let them know that they can take it to the next level. The brothers even got at Jimmy Butler. Check out their tweet below and some of their MMA fight videos below. It still does not seem real that the late great Kobe Bryant is dead, but sadly he is. Before his death tho Kobe was making smart business investments to set up he and his family after his NBA career. Kobe in 2014 invested $6 Million dollars into Body Armor which just sold for $8 Billion dollars to Coca-Cola. Kobes $6 Million dollar investment earned him a 10% stake in the company. Kobes 10% stake values at $400 Million now.
