ThomasBoi Ken: I always looked up to 2Pac, Lil Wayne, and lots of R&B growing up

HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?

ThomasBoi Ken: I grew up listening to Hot Boyz, The Carter III, Jay Z The Black Album, TI Trap Musik, 50 Cent Get Rich Or Die Tryin, OutKast and plenty more…

HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?

ThomasBoi Ken: Im currently promoting my two newest singles ” Sleeping On Ken ” and ” U Don’t Feel How I Feel ”

HHO: How did the record come about?

ThomasBoi Ken: “Sleeping On Ken ” I recorded this track when I traveled to Washington D.C to promote my EP A.J Lead The Way. When you first start your career in the music industry its hard to gain fans and get support behind you. You put so many hours in day and night and no matter how much work you put in people still don’t take you serious until you blow so I just put my all into that song and hope one day they wake up and really hear my message in my music. ” U Don’t Feel What I Feel ” is about how hard I’ve been working on my own without any help and how you have to eventually be okay with that because the older you get the less support you get and you have to learn how to be a man and fend for yourself and not depend on a helping hand.

HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

ThomasBoi Ken: My dream collaboration would be with Lil Wayne he always has been in a different category as a artist to me with his creativity and knowledge behind his bars I know he will bring out the best in you as a artist.

HHO: What are your plans for 2019? What are you doing that others are not?

ThomasBoi Ken: In 2019 I plan on outworking everyone and keep believing in myself just trusting the process I know it won’t happen overnight so I will just keep grinding and putting my pain into my music learning how to market and promote my music the right way and hope it can get people going through similar situations I’ve been in through hard times and not give up on what they love. You can lose yourself trying to live someone else dreams and I just want to show people you can be whoever you want to be no matter how much they doubt and judge you just be yourself and stick to whatever dream you believe in.
