S.Burley – Authentic

May 15 2020

HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans

S.Burley: I’m S.Burley; I’m a Rapper, Producer and the VP of TBJR ENT.

HHO: How did your artist name come about?

S.Burley: I wanted to keep it authentic and use my actual name (Shebastian Burley) so I abbreviated my first name and used my last name (S.Burley) but everybody usually just calls me “S.B” for short.

HHO: Where are you from?

S.Burley: I was born and raised in Augusta, Ga. After my father passed away, I moved to Central Florida in 2005 in a city called Spring Hill, Fl.

HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?

S.Burley: My musical influences growing up were artists like 50 Cent, Jay Z, Nas, Tupac and Biggie. I first decided to rap after I heard 50 Cent’s “Get Rich Or Die Tryin”.

HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?

S.Burley: I grew up listening to Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic, All Eyes On Me and the Dungeon Family.

HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?

S.Burley: I am currently promoting my new single called “Lost In Time”. It’s a motivational song about speaking truth to power and overcoming adversity.

HHO: How did the record come about?

S.Burley: The record came about because I was inspired to start writing down lyrics and came up with the first verse and the chorus before I even finished creating the beat. Once I got an idea of where I wanted to go with the song, my main objective was to speak my mind but also make it relatable.

HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

S.Burley: If I could work with any artist or producer, my dream collaboration would be Timbaland. After Seeing his Masterclass on Production and Beatmaking, I knew if we ever collaborated on something we would come up with some timeless music and I would make sure to ask questions and soak up the knowledge.

HHO: Are you currently touring or have any upcoming shows?

S.Burley: No shows at the moment but the goal is to be back on the road doing shows later this year starting in Orlando and Miami.

HHO: How is the response from your fans & djs been?

S.Burley: I always get good responses from fans and DJs, most say my music is better than what’s playing on the radio and being promoted by the labels and media. I chalk it up to my versatility and not being afraid to speak about how I really feel. A Lot of artists don’t reveal their true selves and intentions because they are so busy trying to make what they think people want to hear. My motto is to keep it authentic and if whether you vibe with the track or not, I can always say I’m just speaking my truth.

HHO: What artists do you listen to the most?

S.Burley: The artists I listen to most are Chronixx, Cambatta, Kendrick, Loaded Lux, Burna bands, Rick Ross and Jay Z.

HHO: What are your plans for 2020? What are you doing that others are not?

S.Burley: My plans for 2020 is to start releasing more consistently and get some visuals out there for my fans. What I am doing that others are not is challenging myself to push the boundaries and continue to stay original and innovative with new flows and futuristic sounds from the way the beat is arranged to the creative content and stories in the lyrics.

HHO: How can your fans reach you?

S.Burley: My fans can reach me on my website (, also (@sburleytbjr) on all social media sites.

HHO: Any last words or shout outs?

S.Burley: Shoutout to my Label, (TBJR ENT.) my mentors and everybody that has been supporting the music and believing in the vision. Make sure to check out my website and stay up to date with the new releases and visuals.
