HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans
Moodyk: My name is Moodyk, I’m a Canadain Artist from Ajax, Ontario which is just outside of Toronto, Ontario Canada.
HHO: How did your artist name come about?
Moodyk: My artist name came about when I was in the studio recording and I had noticed that throughout the songs I was making they had a different style to each song and it had different emotions. So, I just said Moody in my head and I added the k then I went from there.
HHO: Where are you from?
Moodyk: I was born in Scarborough, Ontario Canada and then I grew up in Ajax, Ontario.
HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?
Moodyk: My musical influences were I would say growing up was Lil Wayne, J cole, Drake. I also had a little bit of Hurricane Chris and Chamillionaire. I listened to some of those guys a lot growing up.
HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?
Moodyk: I had Lil Wayne’s the Carter 4 on repeat that was my album along with Drake’s Nothing was the same album. I liked a lot of the work those guys did together it was always great.
HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?
Moodyk: The current single that I’m promoting is my new single “Colour” I also had a previous single before Colour called “Proud Of Me” which got a whole lot of love passing 10,000 streams on Spotify. Everyone should go check those songs out!
HHO: How did the record come about?
Moodyk: Colour came about when I was in my room just listening to beats and I came across this one and had a nice guitar flow to it and I just started writing and the rest is history.
HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?
Moodyk: A dream Collab would definitely have to be with Drake, Lil Wayne Roddy Ricch, NBA YoungBoy, Lil Baby, Gunna, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Sheff G, Nav those are some of the guys I’d love to learn from and get a lot of knowledge from. From a producers standpoint there’s a lot of options like Murda, Southside, Tay Kieth, Pierre Bourne, and of course many more but I’m just down to work with whoever got that heat for me.
