HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans
Maxwell Planes: My name is Maxwell Planes, I play guitar and kind of rap I guess.
HHO: How did your artist name come about?
Maxwell Planes: I play guitar & DJ for Ric Wilson and we just played a show in Detroit with Big Freedia. On the way back to Chicago I was playing this band, Hot Tuna. Ric was like this is dope, and I was like this is the guitarist and bassist from Jefferson Airplane. Ric was like woah thats a fire name, then we decided Maxwell Planes should be my name.
HHO: Where are you from?
Maxwell Planes: I’m from the suburbs of Chicago.
HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?
Maxwell Planes: A lot of Bob Marley.
HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?
Maxwell Planes: When Get Rich or Die Trying came out, it didn’t leave my CD player for 4 years straight.
HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?
Maxwell Planes: Remember Me, its a single I got with Kiéla Adira.
HHO: How did the record come about?
Maxwell Planes: It’s all real stories about how I had to manage love and touring at the same time while getting into some deep situations.
HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?
Maxwell Planes: I want to put Beyonce, Justin Bieber, & myself on a song.
HHO: Are you currently touring or have any upcoming shows?
Maxwell Planes: It’s kind of hard to tour right now with Corona & all.
HHO: How is the response from your fans & djs been?
Maxwell Planes: So much love. A couple of haters here & there but that’s how I know shits going good.

HHO: What are your plans for 2021? What are you doing that others are not?
Maxwell Planes: Keep dropping these songs, keep dropping these music videos. I’m making a whole new lane. I know you hear hella people say that but just listen to the music, you’ll hear it.
