HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans

E’sco: I go by the name “E’sco”, formerly known as “E”.

HHO: How did your artist name come about?

E’sco: It’s so funny because my artist name actually came from my childhood best friend MC. He actually came up with it back when we were hustling in the streets. One day we were just chilling and jokingly, she made a reference about me letting another female rapper outdo me and it’s honestly been sticking with me ever since.

HHO: Where are you from?

E’sco: I’m originally from Madison, Florida, the poorest ranked county in Florida. I currently reside in Tallahassee. It’s not too far from home but I could see more opportunities for me there and I knew that would be a starting point for me because I already have a fan base very close to there.

HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?

E’sco: A few of my musical influences are Trick Daddy, Jeezy, Master P, Plies and Boosie. I can remember listening to them being younger like, you can feel everything that came out of their mouth. It was real, and that’s me. I can resonate because that’s just E.

HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?

E’sco: I grew up listening to a few of my musical influences that I mentioned like Plies, Master P, Plies and Boosie. Real recognize real. I can respect rappers who paved the way for artist like me.

HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?

E’sco: I’m currently promoting my new single “Spread on em”, which is available on Apple Music, Spotify and Play Music.

HHO: How did the record come about?

E’sco: The record actually was inspired by my life prior to entering the industry. When I was still in the streets my mentality was always to “do it big and go fed on em”. “Going fed on em” isn’t in reference to actually going to federal prison but actually becoming “legit” or “bossing up” pretty much.

HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

E’sco: If I could collab with any rapper or producer it would be Jeezy, Lil Baby and Kodak. I actually wanted Kodak for one of my first features but due to some circumstances in neither of our control, we weren’t able to make that happen but I still respect his art and just him as an artist.

HHO: Are you currently touring or have any upcoming shows?

E’sco: I’m currently doing shows in Alaska right now and it’s been a great experience. I’m still in shock sometimes watching people so many miles away from home sing my songs word for word. I love it out there.

HHO: How is the response from your fans & djs been?

E’sco: The response that I receive from DJs and fans was actually surprising to me at first. I truly appreciate the love and support from them because without them, I’m nothing. I’m an independent artist who has no support or funding from any label and I work hard to make sure I invest into myself and my craft as much as I can.

HHO: What artists do you listen to the most?

E’sco: I would say I listen to Kodak and Lil Baby the most. They’re on top right now. It’s a lot of artist doing their thing and applying pressure in the industry. I’m just really messing with them right now. I give credit when do and they got it.

HHO: What are your plans for 2019? What are you doing that others are not?

E’sco: My goal for 2019 is to really stay level headed and focus on signing a few upcoming artist to my record label, while continuing to invest in my artistry as well. I plan on becoming the next biggest independent label

HHO: How can your fans reach you?

E’sco: My fans can follow me on Instagram and Twitter @emg_850. You can
also connect with me on Facebook under EMG E’sco.

HHO: Any last words or shout outs?

E’sco: Thank you guys for having me, I really appreciate every opportunity that gives me a platform to showcase my music career in all aspects. I want everyone to keep looking out for my new project, “Scams & Grams 2” and to keep following me on social media. Stay tuned, there’s so much in store for 2019.
