HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans
Elhae: I go by Elhae. It’s an acronym that stands for “Every Life Has An Ending”.
HHO: How did your artist name come about?
Elhae: I was in high school when the name came about. I was writing a verse and that line just came out of no where (every life has an ending). I liked the way it looked on paper and decided to take the first letter of each word and create the name. It was largely inspired by N.E.R.D. (no one ever really dies).
HHO: Where are you from?
Elhae: I tend to say Georgia in general, because I’ve done a lot of growing in many different areas of Georgia. I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life in Atlanta though.
HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?
Elhae: Pharrell was and is still my musical influence. His influence transcended music for though. From fashion to demeanor, I wanted to be just like him growing up.
HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?
Elhae: I had an older brother so I was always listening to what he wanted to a lot of the time. That included a lot of dipset, wayne, and Jay-Z. From an R&B standpoint I was really into Sisqo back in the day *laughs*.
HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?
Elhae: Right now I’m still working on my first album under Motown. Just released a single a few weeks ago titled “Fun Fact” featuring Rick Ross, so by all means if you’re reading this, go check that out!
HHO: We see you had a health scare, how would you say that situation refocused you on life?
Elhae: Yeah, I honestly can say it made me appreciate life in general a lot more. When-ever you go through something life-threatening, or feel like life as you know it can be altered it makes you take a step back and re-evaluate things. I’m just blessed to have an opportunity to do what I love and share that with the world, let alone have people actually care to listen.
HHO: How did the record come about?
Elhae: I was actually in the studio and my A&R Shawn Barron played it for me and right then and there I recorded it. After living with it for a while we thought Ross would sound great on it, sent it over to him and I was fortunate that he liked it enough to throw a verse on it.
HHO: How is the response from your fans & djs been?
Elhae: It’s been great, I’m always open to criticism when it comes to my music, so whether good or bad I take it with a grain of salt but i’ve been fortunate enough to have people really rocking with it.
HHO: What are your plans for 2021? What are you doing that others are not?
Elhae: The plan is to shoot a lot of visual content and stay in peoples faces all 2021. I’d like to drop 2 projects this year as well. As far as what others are doing, i’m not sure. I just try to stay the course and do what comes natural to me. I just cross my fingers and hope people like it *laughs*
HHO: How was it working with Rick Ross.
Elhae: I’ve worked with Ross in the past. He’s actually been one of the guys that’s been there from the very beginning. My manager grew up with him so I’ve been able to learn alot from Ross because of their relationship.
HHO: What was the feeling you felt when signing with Motown Records?
Elhae: Relief, redemption and joy.
HHO: How can your fans reach you?
Elhae: @Elhae every platform!
HHO: Any last words or shout outs?
Elhae: Thank you guys for having me, I really appreciate it. Be on the lookout for the next project!
