HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans
AJ Angels: Alex J Angels; otherwise known as Aj Angels is a melodic R&B, Pop singer who likes to be creative with his sounds and also rap as well. Born in Queens, NY and then moved down to Denver, CO at an early age. Aj has a unique sound and style that he credits to his foreign roots and family coming from West Africa. Lotto his first single which was produced by Aj’s brother Zaysoundz (Isaiah)garnered over 100,000 streams in not too long; Aj’s music got some attention on soundcloud which then led to more singles and collaborations with industry producers and also being featured on a track that featured Riff Raff and himself. Stay tuned, he won’t stop asking what’s next.

HHO: How did your artist name come about?
AJ Angels: Since 6th grade everyone was calling me Aj so that’s probably where the spark came from but I kept it simple for the artist name because I’m authentically myself and my mind and music can be a bit different so I wanted the name to be direct but the music to be what surprises people.
HHO: Where are you from?
AJ Angels: I was born in Queens, NY. I was raised in Aurora, CO. Both parents were born in West Africa.
HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?
AJ Angels: Michael Jackson for sure, Shaggy, Jay Z, Boys 2 Men, and listening to my brother’s beats definitely had an influence on me as well.
HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?
AJ Angels: Albums or specific music was never passed down or suggested to me to listen to, but by the time I was more aware of albums and projects in its entirety was albums like The Gifted:Wale, Cole World : J Cole, Born Sinner: J Cole, Take Care:Drake , The Blueprint: Jay Z
HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?
AJ Angels: Is We Up. My most recent single and video called Is We Up is a hit. That’s what i’m promoting now as I work on my upcoming project set to release in December, WINTER DIARIES
HHO: How did the record come about?
AJ Angels: Well 2020 was a tuff year, for most people sure but a lot of hard lessons for me that year. The song is an anthem to those that overcame betrayal, and loss, and aims to see light at the end of the tunnel. WE UP
HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?
AJ Angels: A dream collaboration would probably be to work with Kehlani , Russ, and Rihanna.
HHO: Are you currently touring or have any upcoming shows?
AJ Angels: Soon. Shows coming up this summer
HHO: What artists do you listen to the most?
AJ Angels: Myself, and I listen to a bunch of different artist but I like Future, Lil & Da Baby and Jay Z
HHO: What are your plans for 2021? What are you doing that others are not?
AJ Angels: My plans involve expansion in my creative talents, more film, more dance, and learning more about real estate, stocks and app development. I am thinking of how to be in this forever.
