Drake New Mixtape Breaks Spotify Record For Most Streams

Drake new mixtape If You’re Reading This Now It’s Too Late just broke the spotify streaming record. With over 23.6 million streams in it’s first 4 days. Guess who previously held the record? If you guessed Drizzy then your rite. Drake’s 2013’s Nothing Was the Same had the record with 15.6 million streams in its first week!

Billboard reports that If You’re Reading This will sell over 500,000 copies in its first week. Last week, according to estimates from Hits Daily Double, Drake’s project was predicted to sell somewhere in the neighborhood of 500,000 units over the weekend. Today HDD is reporting that the 17-track tape is estimated to move 497,602 copies opening week (541,585 total with streams). For reference, the biggest opening week a rap album enjoyed in 2014 was J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, which moved some 371,000 unites.
