Childish Gambino Says He’s Retiring From Music At Governors Ball Music Festival

This weekend, the seventh annual Governors Ball Music Festival is happening at Randall’s Island in the NYC. Tool, Chance the Rapper, Lorde, Wu-Tang Clan, and Rae Sremmurd are serving as some of the headliners for this year’s event, as Childish Gambino took stage (only show for the entire year) to perform a few hits from the past and content from his recent album, Awaken, My Love!.
With Gambino spending most of his time as Donald Glover these days on the big screen, the popular actor-writer and comedian shared some unfortunate details for his final album. Before leaving his performance, he closed out saying, “I’ll see you for the last Gambino album.” Attendees immediately didn’t know how to process the news, with some leaving the event speechless.
But, hopefully he at least gives us that collaborative project with Chance the Rapper before his fourth and final album release arrives. Take a look at the video below and hit the comments below.
