HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans

Vitorio: Hello ladies and gentlemen it’s the one and only Vitorio, you know how the story go.

HHO: How did your artist name come about?

Vitorio: My artist name is actually my birth name. I remember having so many rap names growing up; from lil t, lil v, haha I remember when Jeezy dropped Thug Motivation it was “Dopemane”. But nah I want my music to be a reflection of me so i just said screw it ima go with my real name, its different, authentic and unique.

HHO: Where are you from?

Vitorio: Im originally from Denver, Colorado, as we call it the box; AKA city of snow. Really is a great city, a vast majority of people think its a mountain town and nothing to do like wyoming or something. But its got everything from snow to drylands and pure beauty. Denver is very much a metropolitan city. It has a lot to offer from the mountains and a ton of things to do year round, like rafting sip lining, snowmobiling. If your’e not into that type of stuff, and want to be in the urban city with the locals you can do that to.

I grew up pretty much all around the city, which gave me different perspectives, and helped develop my growth mindset mentality. I feel like growing up in Denver, I’ve seen a wide range of bad, and good. For example, I used to live in this neighborhood Park Hill that was notorious for gang and drug activity. We were always moving growing up so I got along with other neighborhoods such as The East Side, Montbello, Central Aurora and the Valleys, that are also known for high crime. It used to be more active in the 90’s but as of recently crime is on the rise. But thats not all Denver has to offer it has luxurious neighborhoods as well. It’s a perfect balance between party downtown but can also chill as well. Free state in general and very diverse.

HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?

Vitorio: My musical influences growing up come from a diverse background. I came up off of Eric B & Rakim, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Pimp C, Screwed up Click, UGK, Project pat, Lauryn Hill, Philip Bailey, Kool & The Gang, Gil Scott Heron, Curtis Mayfield, Jadakiss, Slick Rick, the list could go on, truthfully I just love music and study it deeply.

HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?

Vitorio: The Hip Hop albums I grew up on was Lil Wayne Carter 1&2, Nas Illmatic & Stillmatic, Jay Z Reasonable Doubt, Blue Print 1, Kanye Graduation, The game Documentary, Bow wow Beware of Dog, Usher Confession, Drake Room for Improvement, the list can go on Im a music head.

HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?

Vitorio: The single Im currently pushing is this record by the name of “Brown Sugar” featuring another talented artist I know Grier Smith. We also have a video along with it as well that we released y’all should go check it out.

HHO: How did the record come about?

Vitorio: It was a pretty easy and casual process, Grier was chopping samples and we came across Windy city “Win or Lose” and immediately I loved it. It sounded familiar and I thought back to when Drake used it in a earlier track of his called “Make things right”. So Grier just slowed up the tempo and his instrumentation and we laid it down. In the song Im talking about this one chick Im crushing on and when I wrote the first 6 bars I was like yea its about to be a wrap.

HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

Vitorio: My Dream collaborations would have to be a feature with Sade, produced by 40 and Jake one, and engineered by Ali.

HHO: Are you currently touring or have any upcoming shows?

Vitorio: We’re currently hosting and running these art pop shows, and really giving the people culture and showing every element of hiphop from art, dance, rap, and djing.

HHO: How is the response from your fans & djs been?

Vitorio: The Djs and fans have been showing mad love. I low-key went under radar after I dropped my first mixtape COLD, just to work on my fashion and music label SKYREPP.

HHO: What artists do you listen to the most?

Vitorio: The artist that I listen to the most currently are Sade, Jay Z, Andre 3k, Nai Palm, Skepta, Lauryn hill, Section Boys, Project Pat, Curtis Mayfield, Jadakiss, Drake, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Yung Nudy, Jorja Smith, Baka, Jeezy, I peep it all.

HHO: What are your plans for 2018? What are you doing that others are not?

Vitorio: My plans for 2018 is really to keep progressing and investing in myself, promoting the single, and booking shows. Keep creating content is the motive. Expanding the movement more while hosting art gallery events and really give the people free game on how to invest in things that appreciate in value, we encourage the people to make wise use of their resources to create positive profits for the future.
