HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans

Foolish Ty: My name is the one and only Foolish Ty.

HHO: How did your artist name come about?

Foolish Ty: I came up with my name in school actually, I didn’t like my old name because it was basic so I came up with this one. My birthday is April Fool’s Day and my middle name Tyrone…… Foolish Ty

HHO: Where are you from?

Foolish Ty: I’m from Saustin, TX (Austin, TX)

HHO: What is the music scene in your hometown like?

Foolish Ty: The music scene in my hometown is insane! I’m surprised no one has blown up where I’m from but I’m tryna change that. I mean SXSW every year and artist keep coming outta the same places so I’m tryna switch that up.

HHO: What are 3 things that you need in the studio when recording?

Foolish Ty: Hmmmm…. Shit I don’t even know. Gotta have my phone, probably water, and Sour Patch Kids Extreme.

Foolish Ty: Growing up my influences were probably Wayne then K-Dot.

HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?

Foolish Ty: First album I ever got was in like 6th Grade, it was Red Light District by Ludacris, then once I heard the droughts it was all Wayne until Section .80

HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?

Foolish Ty: The current single that’s out is actually a joint record with my homie Dimo Lotte and it’s going CRAZY right now!

HHO: How did the record come about?

Foolish Ty: We were just sitting in the stu and my boy Mac sent me the beat so we pretty much made the track on the spot.

HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

Foolish Ty: Dream collabs would definitely be with Metro, Mike Will Made It, Tory Lanez, Future, or Kendrick Lamar. In no particular order.

HHO: What is your writing process like when making music?

Foolish Ty: I rarely just write anymore, I actually kind of say somethings a loud to the beat and if I like it, I’ll keep it and write it down afterwards.

HHO: How is the response from your fans & djs been?

Foolish Ty: I’ve been getting lots of love on my most recent tracks. I don’t have too many club bangers though so I don’t really get spins like I want to but I got some hot shit on the way.

HHO: Do you feel that the internet has been a blessing or a curse for artists? Why?

Foolish Ty: Oh the internet definitely been a blessing, it makes network so much more easier. Everyone is connected in some sort of way and as far as music your sound get passed down from one person to the next, next thing you know you go viral.

HHO: What artists do you listen to the most?

Foolish Ty: Ummmm I really don’t listen to one artist more than another, I basically keep all the songs I like in constant rotation.

HHO: What are your plans for 2017? What are you doing that others are not?

Foolish Ty: My plans for 2017 is to keep expanding, getting my sound to foreign ears. I know people will fuck with me, I just gotta keep pushing my sound. I’m tryna be headlining some shit haha. I feel like I’m more organic with my sound than most rappers, some of these niggas pretending to be something we all they ain’t so I just keep making real ass music from my point of view and people relate to that.

HHO: How can your fans reach you?

Foolish Ty: Fans can reach me on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat all @FoolishTy

HHO: Any last words or shout outs?

Foolish Ty: S/O Dimo Lotte, iLL-Lit, C-Dub, and my cousin Shane for always keeping that positive energy flowing.
