HHO: Introduce yourself to the fans

Young Carter: “Yo what I’m Young Carter aka Conch Baby”

Kiid Ca$h: “What they do I’m Kiid Ca$h aka The Main Event. And we’re First Class Clique”

HHO: How did your artist name come about?

Ca$h: “I used to watch wrestling a lot and there was this company called ECW that had a wrestler named Kid Cash. I liked the way it sounded, so I switched up the spelling to make it more me. It stuck with people, so it was a good idea haha”.

Carter: “Well as I was growing up listening to Hip Hop, I found out two great rappers have the same last name as me, Jay – Z and Lil Wayne both have the last name Carter. They didn’t use it, so I’m thinking I don’t wanna be a “lil” whatever, so Young Carter I became. I mentioned in a song and Ca$h was like, “I like that, keep it.”

HHO: Where are you from?

“We’re from Key West, Florida. The real southernmost point of the United States. It’s a 4 by 2 mile island at the very end of Florida. We’re the last island in a chain of islands. We like to , “We live, where you vacate”.

HHO: Who were your musical influences growing up?

Carter: “Marvin Gaye and Barry White because my grandma listen to a lot of old R&B. But in Hip Hop, Outkast, Biggie, and Bone Thugs n Harmony”.

Ca$h: “Man I have so many but, Big Pun, Prince, Michael Jackson,
Jay – Z, Pac, Outkast, Bone Thugs n Harmony, and Eminem.

HHO: What hip-hop albums did you grow up listening to?

Ca$h: “Tha Carter, Reasonable Doubt, pretty every Eminem album, Capital Punishment, All Eyez on Me, Ready To Die, Aquemini, The Chronic 2001. Get Rich or Die Tryin, Still illmatic, The Documentary. The list just goes on man”

Carter: “Tha Carter 2-3, Late Registration, Graduation, and The Blue Print”

HHO: What is the current single/project that you are promoting?

Ca$h: “We currently just wrapped shooting our 2nd music video for our song “Hypnotized” that we shot with Four80 Media in our home town. It’s due to drop on February 17th but you can go to our youtube channel and watch the trailer now! We had hella fun filming it with Noah and Brad (Four80 Media), these guys are ridiculously talented and creative. We all worked together and come up with an original and fun music video. Actually fuck that, we made a movie”!

HHO: How did the record come about?

Carter: “We were in the studio one day and Ca$h played me the beat for Hypnotized, I started vibing to it and came up with the chorus instantly. We both wrote our verses and banged it out in less than an hour. We noticed the beat had a cell phone ringing throughout certain parts of the it and we wanted to put something else in the song to play along with it, So we decided to put the clip from Scary Movie, where Shorty and his homies are all saying, “Wazzzuuppp” with the killer on the phone in the beginning of the song and the end. It fit so perfect, like it was meant for that beat”.

HHO: What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

Carter: “We were in the studio one day and Ca$h played me the beat for Hypnotized, I started vibing to it and came up with the chorus instantly. We both wrote our verses and banged it out in less than an hour. We noticed the beat had a cell phone ringing throughout certain parts of the it and we wanted to put something else in the song to play along with it, So we decided to put the clip from Scary Movie, where Shorty and his homies are all saying, “Wazzzuuppp” with the killer on the phone in the beginning of the song and the end. It fit so perfect, like it was meant for that beat”.

Ca$h: “My real dream collab would have been to do a song with Prince or Michael Jackson but, a dream collab right now would be to do a song with Snoop Dogg, hands down. Just to be around him and vibe, hear stories, smoke, and make music. That would be a highlight for me. A dream collab with producer(s) would definently be with The Justice League, growing up in Florida and hearing them producer a lot of songs for Rick Ross, I just like the smooth shit they come up with”.

Carter: “A dream rap collab with Playboi Carti, Jay- Z , or Lil Wayne, plus it be cool to do a song with someone who has the same last name. A dream collab producer wise would be with London On The Track or RippaOnTheBeat. I like the simplicity in Londons beats, that get your heading nodding, and Rippa because he’s made a lot of beats for South Florida rappers I look up to.

HHO: Are you currently touring or have any upcoming shows?

Carter: “We’re getting ready to do our Spring Break Bash we throw in our home town, after that we’re gonna head out on a Florida tour and get some shows in states closer to us. We’re also working to get some shows in Arizona, Cali, Texas, and Colorado in the summertime.

HHO: How is the response from your fans & djs been?

Ca$h: “The response has been overwhelming. They just all want more of that First Class music! The amount of love fans and DJs have been showing is something we’ve been working hard to get. We’ve been getting played in places like, California, Arizona, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and right here and Florida”!

HHO: What artists do you listen to the most?

Carter: “Probably Kevin Gates, his music has a lot of pain in it. You can hear it when he raps about certain topics”.

Ca$h: ” I’ve been listening to a lot of Travis Scott, Nav, Drake, Roy Woods, Joyner Lucas, Tory Lanez, and Tech N9Ne lately”.

HHO: What are your plans for 2018? What are you doing that others are not?

Ca$h: “It’s Lights Out 18. The goal is to become bigger and better. We feel we have an original an original Florida style of Hip Hop and R&B that the world haunts heard yet. what we’re doing is bringing back the fun side of Hip Hop, the type everyone can enjoy. It’s all good vibes. We literally started from the bottom, so the only place we can go is up”.

HHO: How can your fans reach you?

Carter: “My Instagram is @ycfirstclass, the Snapchat is kwboyfreddy, and I just deleted Twitter. So no tweets for right now haha”.

Ca$h: “Follow me on Instagram @kc_firstclass, my Snapchat is kidcashbaby, and my Twitter is @kc_firstclass. Don’t ask me why Carter don’t have a Twitter haha. You can also book us at firstclassmusic172gmail.com

HHO: Any last words or shout outs?
