Kanye West Applies For “Red October” TrademarkPOSTED ON:
Feb 12 2018
Kanye West may not be done with the famed “Red October” after all. Kanye West is reportedly filing for the trademark of the name which was originally filed for in 2013. There was apparently incomplete paperwork and the trademark wasn’t approved. That was the year that the Nike Air Yeezy 2 was first expected to release. The shoes finally dropped in February 2014, and as evidenced by their $5K-plus current resell value, the name clearly still holds weight.
Approval would allow West to use and potentially license the name on a wide range of products, including future sneakers.
